Friends of the Miller Hill Playground, Inc. is a dedicated group of parents, educators, administrators, and community members with a singular goal: raising the funds needed to build a state of the art, accessible playground at Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary School..

Mission: At Friends of the Miller Hill Playground, Inc., our mission is to create a safe, adaptive, engaging, and enduring playground for the children of Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary, and the entire Averill Park community; that will promote physical, social, and emotional growth through active and imaginative play.

The new playground will serve as both a vital school resource and a welcoming gathering place for the entire community. In this rural area with limited public spaces, it will offer children a safe, inclusive place to play, explore, and dream for years to come. Community-led efforts like ours are essential to ensuring that local children have access to safe, equitable, high-quality opportunities to learn and grow. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and 100% of all donations will directly support the playground project.
